The Peak District

We say
Few parts of the UK are as easy to reach, and as wonderfully unspoilt, as the Peak District. Choose between the rolling beauty of the Hope Valley and Edale in White Peak, the southern half of the region, or the moodier landscapes of the northern Dark Peak. Whichever you prefer, Peak Cottages has a cosy bolthole, family house or party pad to suit.

Peak Cottages says

For more than 25 years we have specialised in holiday cottages throughout the Peak District National Park and Derbyshire.

  • Hiking and biking
  • Remote locations
  • Pet friendly properties

We have hand-picked more than 200 properties sleeping from two up to 18 guests – perfect for couples, families, groups of friends and as the ideal base in which to celebrate a special occasion. Most are available for short breaks too, whether it’s a weekend getaway or midweek escape.

Some of our cottages are dog-friendly and we have also selected some that are particularly well suited for families. If you want to up the ante on comfort further, check out our luxury properties and those with a private hot tub.

A short break in the Peak District can be as active and outdoorsy as you want it to be – there are superb walking trails – including the Pennine Way – in the Hope Valley, while idyllic Dovedale is a must-see, with or without the walking boots.

The National Park offers adrenalin-pumping activities such as rock-climbing and paragliding but equally you can put you feet up or wander around pretty towns such as Bakewell and Baswell. For top-tier tourist sites, visit Chatsworth House and Peveril Castle.
