New Forest pub stay

We say
The Bell Inn is a Grade II-listed 18th-century New Forest coaching inn, independently owned by the same family for more than 200 years. There's rustic charm with flagstone floors, large open fireplaces and countrified-chic trimmings. It is also home to Bramshaw Golf Club which has two 18-hole golf courses.

The Bell Inn says

Our family has a 230-year history of hospitality at The Bell Inn, one of the oldest family-owned pubs in Hampshire. Located in the pretty little village of Brook, it’s an intricate part of our love affair with the  New Forest – we are actively involved in the conservation efforts to protect and sustain this mystical, ancient woodland and we are a founding partner of the New Forest Trust.

  • Historic pub
  • Golf courses
  • Excellent food

We have created 28 spacious guest bedrooms, all with a comfy country house feel. We accept dogs in some of the ground floor rooms.

Dining at The Bell Inn is a treat – choose from the traditional bar, scenic Garden Room or the country farmhouse Oak Room. And whether your favourite tipple is a pint of Boon Doggle ale, brewed locally, a bottle of Champagne or a wicked cocktail, we’ve got you covered.

What might surprise you is that our small and perfectly formed Inn also owns a golf club with two outstanding 18-hole courses. There are the manicured greens of the Manor Course and the tree-lined Forest Course, which is played across natural heathland.

Our lawned gardens are a lovely space in which to watch the wild ponies wander by, enjoy a game of boules or giant outdoor chess. Close by, the activities and attractions that the 80,000-acre New Forest has to offer include walking, cycling, horse riding, Paulton’s Park (featuring Peppa Pig World), Beaulieu Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens.
