Music recitals

We say
From Cornwall to North Norfolk, Kirker Holidays’ exclusive music festivals give lovers of classical music the chance to enjoy their own private performances, as well as meeting the artists. The groups are small and sociable, ideal if you're joining alone, with a partner or a group of friends.

Kirker Holidays says

Our range of escorted music holidays is popular with couples, solo travellers and friends who share a passion for music and enjoy spending their holiday in the company of a small group of like-minded companions.

  • Small groups
  • Gorgeous locations
  • Meet the artists

Groups typically consist of 12 to 22 participants, accompanied by an expert Kirker Tour Leader – carefully selected not only for his or her exceptional knowledge of the music and the destination, but also for their friendly and sociable personality and ability to engage all members of the group.

Kirker’s programme of music holidays includes visits to a number of Europe’s most important music festivals and events, from the Verona Opera Festival and Austria’s Schubertiade, to opera weekends in Milan, Venice and New York.

Here in the UK, we organise a series of Kirker Music Festivals each year. These exclusive festivals include highly-acclaimed musicians who perform a programme of music which is not available to the public, and there is an opportunity to meet artists personally. The artists enjoy building up a rapport with the same audience over a series of evenings, and many clients particularly enjoy dining with the musicians after the performances.

November 2020 will mark the 9th anniversary of our Kirker Chamber Music Festival in the pretty Sussex village of Alfriston. Enjoy three nights at a charming hotel with three concerts performed by the sought-after Doric String Quartet.

Our March 2021 festival at the famed Tresanton Hotel in St Mawes features three concerts by the talented Maxwell Quartet together with a private visit to the awe-inspiring Lamorran Gardens in St. Mawes.

If choral music is your passion, join us at the Three Choirs Festival in Worcester with a choice of four or eight night stays – our accommodation, the Fownes Hotel, is a short walk from the venue, Worcester’s magnificent cathedral. Opera fans will enjoy our Glyndebourne on Tour festivals in Alfriston and Eastbourne.

On all our music festival breaks, sociable – and delicious – dinners are included.

Kirker’s full range of Cultural Tours includes holidays with a focus on art, architecture, history, archaeology or gardens, some of which have no single supplement. Find out more about our music and other cultural tours.
