Brightwater Holidays says

We are a nation of gardeners – and people who love to admire other people’s gardens. If you fall in to either or both categories, our fully-escorted garden holidays will both delight and inform.

  • Escorted groups
  • Visit private gardens
  • Meet owners

Join a small group of like-minded enthusiasts with a common love of gardens – each of our trips is carefully planned and almost always has an innovative twist, many of them taking you to gardens not normally open to the public (often meeting the owners or Head Gardeners too).

Our garden tours within the UK stretch from Tresco in the Scilly Isles to some wonderful private gardens in Caithness and Sutherland and in Jersey too. In between there are gardens in north Wales, the rolling hills of middle England including Highgrove and the Cotswolds and Northumberland (including the magnificent gardens at Alnwick Castle).

We have created a unique one-week tour which takes in the Chelsea Flower Show and bucket list gardens including RHS Wisley, Sissinghurst, Stourhead, Bishops Palace in Wells and Tyntsfield – some of them created by such luminaries as ‘Capability’ Brown, Gertrude Jekyll and Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Our UK breaks are between three and seven nights long and include dinner, bed and breakfast in a comfortable and characterful hotel. Travel is by air, coach and/or rail with convenient departure points.

Group sizes vary from tour to tour but are generally between 15 and 30 people.
