Budock Vean

We say
Budock Vean, near Falmouth, Cornwall, stands in a deep cleavage of sub tropical gardens leading down to the Helford River. The golf course is a beauty and there's a spa too. You'll even find a big log fire blazing away in the indoor pool during the winter months! Choose from hotel rooms or holiday homes, all on site.

Budock Vean says

Sitting in 65 acres of glorious gardens, our four-star hotel is tucked away on a quiet bend of Cornwall’s Helford River. Not only do we offer great food, a superb spa, swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts, sailing, kayaking and boat trips but we also have our very own golf course. We think you will be hard pressed to find a better hotel in which golfers and non-golfers alike can rest, play and rejuvenate.

  • Golf course
  • River frontage
  • Spectacular gardens

Our accommodation options include 56 pretty bedrooms in the hotel itself as well as self-catering cottages and contemporary holiday homes tucked away in the grounds. Whichever you choose, first class service from our team will ensure a relaxing stay.

Delicious food in our new restaurant makes best use of the wonderful local produce with daily-changing dinner menus; a lighter menu is available for lunch in the bar, conservatory or sun trap terrace. Our breakfasts have earned something of a reputation, and we have a Visit England Breakfast Award. Take up residence on a lounger on our private foreshore, watch the world float by and spoil yourselves with renowned Helford river oysters and Champagne.

The Spa is a sanctuary with sublime Elemis treatments and a 15m indoor pool, sauna and a new outdoor hot tub with beautiful views. The pool even has its own log fire.

Let’s return to the golf course though. It’s a 9-hole course playable as 18 holes and was originally designed in the 1920s by legendary golfer, James Braid. Green fees are complimentary for hotel guests.

We also offer Bridge Breaks for those who want to enjoy their favourite card game in a friendly and companionable atmosphere.

Our location is perfect for those who want to explore this beautiful corner of Cornwall. The stunning Trebah and Glendurgan gardens, Falmouth, St Mawes, Helston and Frenchman’s Creek are all within easy reach. If your idea of a good break is to stay put, however, a stroll around our gardens is something special.

Dogs are welcome in some of our rooms and holiday cottages (extra charge applies). Take a look at our special offers and themed breaks.
