Blackberry Wood says
Hidden away in the South Downs National Park, our quirky little piece of heaven on earth is a gorgeous family-run campsite – with knobs on!
You can pitch your own tent (we have 20 pitches set in pretty woodland glades), or stay in one of our funky treehouses, the Curvy Cabin or a converted bus. There are decent loos, hot showers and washing up facilities, although some of the accommodation options have en suite facilities – albeit pretty basic.
Blackberry Wood Camping pitches each include a fire pit and are surrounded by nature with fun stuff for kids including a zip wire and river to play in. We have a designated camping area for adults only – Blackberry Wood on the Wild Side. Pitch your tent in glorious woodland and soak up the bird song.
Couples will love our 1930s Gypsy Caravan – cosy and cute inside with a fire pit and kitchen area outside. Or check out the fairytale Piggledy Treehouse which sleeps four.
Also sleeping up to four, Curvy Cabin featured on Grand Designs a few years ago and has a log burner, perfect for toasty evenings when you come in from the campfire outside.
This is our home so we know the area inside out. We’ve curated our top pick of local eateries and take-aways within walking distance, and lots of great local activities such as cycling, golf, tennis, water sports and a vineyard tour. And don’t miss a ride on the Bluebell Railway steam train.
We are located a 30 minute walk from Plumpton train station and just eight miles from Brighton.
