Ski on a budget

Mark and David's verdict
It’s easy to find glitzy ski resorts where lunch on the slopes costs as much as your weekly grocery bill. More challenging is to find charming Alpine resorts that combine reasonably-priced self-catering accommodation, sensible prices, accessibility and - of course - great skiing.

Peak Retreats says

Your ski holiday doesn’t have to break the bank!

  • Chalets and apartments
  • Charming Alpine resorts
  • Low-cost options

We specialise in ski holidays in the French Alps that offer exceptional value. Each one of our 57 resorts offers a unique attraction and the outstanding range of choice means there’s something for every party and every budget! Ski at your own pace in the traditional village of Les Carroz, ski over to a different country from La Rosiere or ski a glacier in Tignes.

Our handpicked selection of traditional resorts offers an alternative to the busy ski experience associated with big-name resorts. It often comes as a surprise therefore that our village resorts have access to the same big ski areas, so we can offer the same high-quality skiing at a more pocket-friendly price.

Our resorts have a superb range of activities from luges to snow shoeing, ice skating and even dog sledding! Plus there’s plenty of opportunity to take part in the events that resorts organise each season.

Our selection of ski holiday accommodation includes self-catered apartments – opting to self-cater is a good way oto cut down the price. We have a great collection of luxury self-catered accommodation, some of which are suitable for large groups of up to 20. Most have on-site facilities rivalling their hotel equivalents such as indoor pools, spas and underground parking.

Our packages include travel by Eurotunnel or we have accommodation-only options available. We’re happy to help book train services, transfers, car hire and en-route accommodation.

Whatever your budget, our ski holidays in the French Alps can be tailored to create the perfect holiday for you. This year we have plenty of special offers available such as 20% off and eight nights for the price of seven. Prices start from around £120 per person for seven nights during peak weeks in April including a return Eurotunnel crossing (price based on five people sharing a two-bedroom self-catered apartment).

We’re happy to talk through which resort and package would best suit you – find out more about us and our ski holidays in the Alps.
