Each trip is accompanied by an expert speaker and has an engaging itinerary combining sightseeing, lively talks, some group dinners and free time for you to explore at leisure.

Accommodation is in three-star and four-star hotels with breakfast included and group sizes are between 20 and 30.

We offer a range of short breaks and longer trips. They always attract a high proportion of solo travellers – we do have to pass on hotel supplements for single room occupancy but, on some departures, we have negotiated particularly low supplements.

Our four-night Art Treasures of Venice trip is spent in the company of art historian, Dr Susan Steer. Not only will we see some of Venice’s most exquisite (and lesser-known) churches, frescoes, mosaics, paintings and sculptures, we are also going there in early February when there are few tourists.

Château de Versailles delves deep in to the history, art and horticulture that makes this infamous and spectacular “palace” so unique and one of France’s most visited places.

The Ring in Budapest is a five-night trip of a lifetime for fans of Wagner. Coinciding with Budapest’s Wagner Days festival, we have tickets for all four operas of The Ring, performed in the magnificent Bela Bartok Hall. We will also enjoy some guided sightseeing to such treasures as the Liszt Academy, where one of the students will give us a private performance.

On all our trips, we include all local travel in a comfortable coach, admission fees, expert talks and a trip assistant who is there to smooth the way throughout. Travel to and from the start and end points is not included.
