UK yoga weekends

Cathy's verdict:

With yoga sessions in a 16th-century barn and the peace of 500 acres of gardens, a weekend break in Kent with expert teacher Simon Low is guaranteed to leave you refreshed, while locally-grown organic food nourishes your body too. Small friendly groups make the room-share option a popular one.

Yoga with Simon Low says

Our UK weekend workshops are all about finding balance and harmony on and off the yoga mat – whilst developing your yoga practice, regardless of your level of experience.

  • convivial atmosphere
  • expert tuition
  • room share option

Simon Low is one of the world’s foremost yoga teachers – he teaches teachers too – and his classes, whilst demanding, will leave you feeling stretched in every sense, refreshed and nourished.

Based at Commonwork Farm, a delightful 17th-century manor house in Sevenoaks, Simon’s yoga weekends run from Friday afternoons to Sunday afternoons.

There are four practice sessions, which take place in the 16th-century barn, and the chance to relax amongst like-minded people in a peaceful environment and 500 acres of gardens, farm buildings and fields.

Accommodation is in comfortable twin-bedded rooms (you will be allocated a room mate of the same sex) or you can pay a small supplement for a single room if you prefer.

The food here is delicious – substantial home cooked meals, mostly using organic produce grown and raised on Commonwork itself and in the local area. There’s an honesty bar if you fancy a beer or a glass of wine.
