Thailand tours

Cathy's verdict
There’s far more to Thailand than those famous beaches, so if you’re looking for more authentic experiences, an expert guided group tour is the best way to get a real taste of the country. With tours from five days up, and no compulsory single supplement on some tours, solo travellers have plenty of choice.

On The Go Tours says

Our diverse range of group tours to the Kingdom of Thailand includes authentic cultural experiences and unique encounters from five to 13 days, accompanied by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about sharing their country.

If you are short on time, our five-day Thailand Express visits Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and fits in cooking lessons, a long tail boat ride and a visit to the hill tribes of Mae Rim. For those who are happy to share there is no compulsory single supplement.

  • expert-guided groups
  • no single supplement on some tours
  • popular with solos

Another tour option with no compulsory single supplement is the nine-day Time for Thailand, a tour which takes you to the Bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi and the Erawan National Park, to explore the rivers, waterfalls and trails by foot.

For those with a little more time on their hands, the 13-day Thailand, Temples & Tribes offers the same great experiences but more time to enjoy them.

If you want to enjoy time on Thailand’s famous beaches and relax on the golden sands, choose our Bangkok Beach & Beyond which includes three nights in Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand or our 13-day Bangkok to Koh Samui with four nights on the beaches of Koh Samui.

Thailand’s special events are world class and we offer two group festival tours for the iconic Yi Peng Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai –  this 10-day tour is available with no compulsory single supplement.

Single parents might be interested in our Thailand for Teens family tour for children aged 12 years and above – a great mix of adventure and cultural visits.

On all our trips, you will be in the company of like-minded travellers of all ages, though the majority of our group members are aged 50 to 65. In Thailand the maximum group size is 24 with an average of 12.

The price is based on a twin-share basis; however on tours where there is no compulsory single supplement, we will try to pair you up with a fellow traveller of the same sex. If we are unable to, you will get the room to yourself at no extra cost.
