Mercury Holidays says
Sri Lanka is a tropical paradise, with its rich culture, exciting food, incredible wildlife and jaw-dropping scenery. Known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean, it’s one of the most popular destinations that we offer.
For solo travellers, the challenge lies in finding a comfortable, welcoming hotel without being penalised with a single supplement. That’s where we come in – we have negotiated no single supplement in a double or twin room at a wide range of Sri Lanka hotels, all of which are well suited to solo travellers. Each promises a friendly welcome and warm atmosphere whilst some have special facilities such as communal dining opportunities for single guests.
We have a choice of resorts, all of them in beachfront locations.
In Beruwala, we recommend The Palms where there’s an excellent Ayurvedic centre and the option to upgrade to all-inclusive. All rooms have a sea view and two massages are also included free of charge on selected dates.
The Koggala Beach Hotel and Long Beach Resort are both located in Koggala, which has one of Sri Lanka’s best white sand beaches and a colourful offshore reef, perfect for snorkelling. Both hotels offer evening entertainment and an all-inclusive option.
In popular Kalutara you can choose between the contemporary four-star Sands Kalutara and the three-star Mermaid Hotel and Club, a favourite with our customers.
On all our holidays, flights and transfers are included in the price. Private transfers and add-on safaris and sightseeing tours are available at an additional cost.
