If you are interested in the idea of a personal development holiday, Skyros’ weekend breaks are the ideal first step. Stay in a delightful country house on the Isle of Wight and combine a bit of sightseeing with expert guidance from life coaching and mindfulness to writing, yoga and art with a house party atmosphere. It's a great option for couples and groups of friends as well as couples.

Skyros says

You may be more familiar with our learning holidays on the Greek Island of Skyros, where we pioneered and continue to offer peerless experiences creative holidays amongst like-minded people and expert coaches.

  • house party atmosphere
  • popular with solos
  • room share option

In addition, however, we also offer a range of personal development weekend breaks on the Isle of Wight. Hugely popular amongst couples and singles, it’s the perfect way to explore new skills, Skyros-style, and for solo travellers to dip their toes in the solo travel water for the first time.

The Isle of Wight is home to our own four-star 19th century country house, The Grange. You can either stay on a B&B basis and enjoy good company in beautiful surroundings or stay elsewhere and join one of our four-night courses. These vary but include music and singing, art, yoga, writing, photography and mindfulness, all led by expert facilitators in their fields.

The Grange is in the village of Shanklin, very close to the lovely beach with glorious walks on your doorstep. This is certainly no boot camp and you will have plenty of time to explore – or simply relax with new-found friends at The Grange as you wish.

Massage, health and beauty treatments are all available and we can also arrange one-on-one tuition in a range of disciplines if you wish.

We have 15 attractive en suite double and twin rooms at The Grange. Social distancing and other safety measures are in place, in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are also ensuring that The Grange still has that magical sense of relaxed escapism.

It’s so easy to get to the Isle of Wight with regular ferry crossings from Southampton, Lymington and Portsmouth – it takes less than four hours from London by train and ferry for example.
