Jubilee Sailing Trust says
We take people with a wide range of disabilities aged 16 years and over on life-changing voyages on board our fleet of two specially-designed tall ships.
A registered charity with more than 35 years behind us, the Jubilee Sailing Trust provides unique experiences which help break down barriers and allow people of all ages to realise their potential in a safe but challenging environment.
Each beneficiary is assigned an able-bodied buddy – and that’s where you come in!
From day sails in the Solent to 32-day itineraries, choose from a wide range of voyages around the world. You don’t need to be an experienced yachtie but you do need to be a team player, willing and able to muck in.
As well as being a buddy, you’ll assist the permanent crew in the day to day activities from being on watch to mess duty – helping with the food preparation.
Accommodation is in cabins and bunk rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Cabins are heated and have hot showers and air-conditioning.
We continuously fundraise to ensure that more people have access to this life-changing experience. All voyage crew spaces are subsidised through our fundraising efforts. Click here to find out how you can get involved in fundraising and check out the inspirational stories of some of our crew.
