Climb Kilimanjaro

Cathy's verdict
From Alpine deserts and green valleys to the 'Roof of Africa' itself, climbing Kilimanjaro is as rewarding as it is challenging. These expert-guided treks follow less visited mountain routes, with around half the small group travelling solo, and the option to celebrate with a safari in Tanzania's national parks or recuperate on a Zanzibar beach.

With many experience in climbing “Killy”, we have selected the best guides and the popular Marangu Route.

Tasty and nutritious meals are included throughout and our expert guides and their teams are highly experienced with a guide:client ratio of 2:1. Their goal is always to ensure everyone’s safe ascent in a friendly atmosphere, renowned for the sense of team spirit.

You will need to be fit and healthy – we will send you details of how best to prepare for your trip.

Whichever itinerary you choose, you will join a small group of between four and 12 people with, on average, around half travelling solo. In the hotels, you can opt to twin share with someone of the same sex or pay a supplement for your own room – most opt for the former. On the mountain, accommodation is in three-man tents with just two people sharing each one.
