Amazing Iceland

Cathy's verdict:

Aptly dubbed the ‘land of fire and ice’, Iceland is one of Europe’s most thrilling destinations, from the geysers and waterfalls of the Golden Circle to the famous Blue Lagoon. Reykjavik is the perfect base for this long weekend and, fingers crossed, you'll see the magical Northern Lights.

Travel One says

Iceland is one of Europe’s most magical destinations, from the Northern Lights to the Blue Lagoon, geysers and waterfalls plus the lively city of Reykjavik. We have crafted a fantastic three-night tour with several departures throughout the winter season.

  • expert-guided groups
  • see the Northern Lights
  • solo travellers only

Our four-day Northern Lights group tour is based in a charming three star hotel in Reykjavik, where you will have your own double room for solo occupancy.

You will enjoy a tour of the fascinating city itself, with a private guide as well as a memorable trip to experience the Blue Lagoon – it’s magical. We also include a Golden Circle tour which takes you to Iceland’s most rugged and scenic region. You’ll see the famous Strokkur Geyser and Gullfoss waterfall and see the Thingvellir National Park too.

The highlight for most, however, is the Northern Lights Hunt – sightings are never guaranteed of course but our local contacts are experts in finding the best spots at the right time so the chances are high.

We include breakfast and dinner each day and you will have some free time to explore Reykjavik under your own steam, perhaps with some of your fellow travellers.
