Group walking

Cathy's verdict
Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned hiker, a walking holiday is naturally sociable and a great way to soak up some of the world's most spectacular natural sights. Solos Holidays offers an inspiring selection of trips for single travellers only, from the dramatic landscapes of Bavaria to the sunny Devon coast.

  • expert-guided groups
  • no single supplements
  • singles only
  • your own double room

Our walking and trekking holidays span the UK and Europe, with year-round departures. Each is graded according to the level of difficulty from easy to medium (you will need walking boots but there’s nothing too strenuous). Our walking holidays are open to all ages.

As on all our holidays, each group is accompanied by a tour leader who is on hand to ensure you get the most from your holiday.

UK walking short breaks include the White Cliffs of Dover, Snowdonia, South Devon, the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District, the Lake District and Hadrian’s Wall for example.

You can soak up the sun as well as the spectacular views in some of Europe’s most scenic spots such as Albania, the Algarve, the Austrian Alps, the Dalmatian Riviera, Canary Islands, Greek Islands and Morocco.

As you might expect, there are no single supplements on any of our holidays and you will generally stay in a double or twin room for solo occupancy. Breakfast and dinner are always included as are some other meals, drinks and excursions.

Our online Solos Forum allows newcomers and past clients to keep in touch and exchange news, tips and reviews.
