Egypt tours

Our verdict:

A cruise on board a traditional felucca on the Nile is just one option on these fascinating group tours. On The Go Tours uses expert guides who will help you discover Egypt’s fascinating history from the pyramids to the Red Sea. They are a great option for solo travellers aged 50+ with some trips ideal for single parents.

On The Go Tours says

We offer an extensive choice of group tours in Egypt, to suit a range of budgets and time frames. Led by a degree-qualified Egyptologist guide, there is no one better to take you to Egypt’s ancient treasures – learn about the intriguing history whilst staying at four-star and five-star accommodation.

  • Christmas dates available
  • expert guides
  • no single supplements on selected trips

There is no compulsory single supplement on our 15 Egypt group tours and we now have five tours where solo travellers can have a single room at no extra cost on selected departures.

Our six-day Pharaohs Adventure will immerse you in the classic Egyptian sites including the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza in Cairo to the Temple of Karnak in Luxor. Egypt Unplugged combines the Pharaohs Adventure itinerary with four nights of rest and relaxation on the beach in Hurghada.

We include a magical two-night Nile cruise on board a traditional Felucca sailboat on our nine-day King Tutankhamen tour – or you can upgrade to a luxurious five-star cruise boat if you prefer.

If you fancy heading to Egypt for Christmas or some early December winter sun, we have a range of tours during this period including our Festive King Tut which is popular amongst solo travellers. For those looking to experience a special event in Egypt we have a variety of tours which combine the Sun Festival at Abu Simbel with visiting the country’s ancient wonders, such as our King Ramses Sun Festival.

On all our trips, you’ll be in the company of like-minded travellers and accompanied by your degree qualified Egyptologist guide. While the majority of our group members are aged 50 to 65, there are no age limits guaranteeing a diverse mix of people from all over the world – one of the great experiences of travelling on a group tour. The maximum group size is 28 with an average of 18.

We also offer a number of family holidays which work well for single parents in the school holidays and half term breaks.
