City breaks

Cathy's verdict
Cities are thrilling to visit, but they can be lonely places if you're by yourself. The solution: join a group trip on a short break, with an experienced guide and a group of likeminded adventurers. Whether it's Rome or Zagreb, Istanbul or Lake Como, you can start to explore the world with confidence, knowing that all the arrangements have been made for you.

Solos Holidays says

Whether you’re heading somewhere new or revisiting an old favourite, it’s hard to beat time out exploring a city.

  • fully escorted
  • great for first-time single travellers
  • perfect for ages 40+

Our city breaks – for solo travellers only – are a carefully balanced mix of cultural immersion and free time with one of our friendly group leaders on hand throughout. And, if you haven’t dipped your toe in the solo travel waters yet, it’s a great way to try it out – three or four nights in like-minded company somewhere new and exciting. What’s not to love!

To whet your appetite, how about three nights in Rome, with a walking tour and public transport pass included in the price?  Also in Italy, there’s a dream break on the shores of Lake Como with time in fashionable Milan too. You can even enjoy Christmas in Venice, with a side trip to Padua.

Other options include Istanbul, Berlin and Ljubljana. Further afield there’s New York City with UK options including Liverpool and Belfast.

All our city breaks include three or four star hotel accommodation with your own room, sight-seeing and some meals. Flights are also included for overseas trips. Our city breaks are for all ages but, as on all our holidays, most are aged 40 years and over.
