Recommended place to stay: The Torridon

The Torridon says

When a five-star hotel and a traditional Scottish inn come together, they create something very special indeed. That place is our luxury resort, The Torridon.

You can expect the finest Scottish hospitality, whether you’re relaxing around a roaring fire or exploring our glorious 53 acres on the edge of Loch Torridon and the Torridon Hills.

We have just 18 spacious and individually-designed guest rooms and suites as well as The Boat House, a cosy waterfront cottage. You can also stay in one of the delightful rooms in the Torridon Inn.

As you might expect from a five-star resort, our cuisine is of the highest quality and our “Down to Earth” chef Ross Stovold prides himself on sourcing the best local ingredients in season to prepare delicious but unpretentious food that is as beautiful to look at as it is scrumptious to eat. Our 3 AA Rosette 1887 fine dining restaurant is perfect for that special dinner whilst the Beinn Bar serves a more casual but no less delicious menu.

Our Whisky & Gin Bar has more than 365 malts and 100 gins and you’ll find a range of Scottish ales in the inn. We have even created our own hand-crafted gin in partnership with Dunnet Bay Distillery, using foraged botanicals such as lovage, kelp, rowan berries and bilberries from the surrounding land, sea and mountains.

We can’t think of a better place to head out and experience some exhilarating adventures such as mountain biking, hiking, sea kayaking, archery, clay pigeon shooting, coasteering and gorge scrambling – all led by expert members of The Torridon activities team.

From whisky-tasting to star-gazing, we also offer a fantastic range of experiences to make your stay even more memorable.

The Torridon is located a spectacular hour and a half’s drive from Inverness airport. Discover more about our special piece of paradise in north west Scotland.
