Mark and David's verdict
Scottsdale is regularly cited as one of the best places to live in America, and not just because it has a dazzling choice of golf courses. This beautiful town in the Arizona desert offers year-round sunshine and a wealth of upscale restaurants, galleries, museums and resorts. There's so much to do: you can tour vineyards, take a hot air balloon ride, ride horses, hike the Apache Trail or go canyoneering along the Salt River. Fly direct to Phoenix, just a 15 minute drive into Scottsdale.

We have curated a fantastic choice of experiences. Ramp up the adrenaline on a canyoneering expedition, hike along the Apache Trail, take a hot air balloon ride, fly in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon or go off-roading, e-biking, rappelling or ranch riding in the desert. For something a little more sedate, there’s a foodie tour of Old Scottsdale, star-gazing in the desert or a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad.

Our top-selling holiday is the eight-night Spectacular Scottsdale package. It includes two Scottsdale tours plus three full day trips to the Grand Canyon, the red rocks of Sedona and the historical town of Tombstone and the OK Corral – the town named ‘too tough to die’. First class hotel accommodation is included too, of course.

We also offer a wide range of fly-drive holidays and escorted tours in and around Scottsdale.

Scottsdale’s hotels are top notch. We have selected a wide range including big name brands, and more intimate resorts and ranches. If you want to be in the heart of everything, Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town is ideal. For unbridled romance and luxury, we love the Canyon Building at The Phoenician whilst families will appreciate the Camp Hyatt kids club and water park at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. The night skies seen from ADERO Scottsdale are something special and several resorts have their own golf course – The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa for example.

There are world-class day spas and wellness classes too; lots of the hotels offer outstanding spas such as Civana Spa & Resort and the characterful Royal Palms Resort & Spa.
