Rural Retreats says
For those looking for something a little different, these former lighthouse keepers’ cottages are the perfect coastal getaway. We have teamed up with Trinity House to offer fantastic lighthouse stays along the coasts of England and Wales.
The properties have each been carefully adapted and furnished to offer comfortable accommodation in a spectacular setting. With one, two or three bedrooms, these former lighthouses can accommodate couples, families or groups of friends seeking a coastal break in an historic property – with great views, open spaces, ocean vistas and miles of coastal walks guaranteed.
Locations include Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Kent, the Isle of Wight, Wales and North Yorkshire.
Trinity House was originally granted a charter by Henry VIII in 1514 and is now a charitable organisation; amongst other responsibilities, it is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.
