Luxury all-inclusives

Our verdict:

The appeal of all-inclusive hotels is obvious, but the reality doesn't always measure up. So we're delighted to recommend the IKOS group of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the Med. As well as stylish rooms and suites, great beaches and facilities, they offer gourmet food and the option to dine around at local restaurants.

Recommended tour operator: Travelbeam Luxury Hotels

Travelbeam Luxury Hotels says

It’s rare if not impossible to find an all-inclusive hotel in the Med which delivers a truly luxurious experience. The innovative IKOS group of beachfront hotels does exactly that – brilliantly.

  • Contemporary resorts
  • Excellent kids activities
  • Luxury all-inclusive

At all their hotels, a fabulous sandy beach is a given. The accommodation is first class with spacious rooms, suites and one-bedroom and two-bedroom bungalows, some with a private pool.

The IKOS style of all-inclusive – they call it IKOS Infinite Lifestyle™ – is unique. There is superb dining in a choice of restaurants (some with Michelin-starred chefs) and we love the Dine Out option which means you can eat out in local tavernas on some nights. Fine wines and top brand spirits, room service, activities, kids clubs and entertainment are also included in the price.

At each IKOS resort, the standard of childcare is exceptional. The creche (extra cost) takes children from four months to four years. There are complimentary clubs for older children and, in the summer months, for teenagers too.

IKOS is not just for families though – these low-key resorts are a wonderful haven for adults too. Each has a top-notch Anne Semonin Spa (treatments at extra cost) and at least one adults-only pool.

Evening entertainment at the IKOS resorts includes smart beach parties and live music whilst, during the day, you’ll find tennis courts, mountain biking, a swimming school, bikes for hire and water sports (motorised water sports cost extra). You can even join a Greek dancing lesson or cookery masterclass.

Located on the gorgeous Halkidiki peninsula of mainland Greece, IKOS Olivia quickly became a best-seller. Its low-rise style is as appealing as its outstanding service and facilities.

Close by is the IKOS Oceania with more of a large hotel feel but still retaining the sense of luxury.

IKOS Dassia opened on Corfu in May 2018. Located just ten minutes from Corfu Town, it offers stylish bungalows as well as sleek and spacious hotel rooms and suites.

May 2019 saw the opening of IKOS Aria on the Greek island of Kos. We just know it will prove to be another winner and we’re already anticipating the 2020 opening of the group’s first hotel in Spain. Watch this space!
