Villas in Croatia

Our verdict:

Croatia has more than a thousand miles of sparkling Adriatic coastline, dotted with islands, medieval cities and a mix of sandy and rocky coves and bays. It is popular with sunseekers, Game of Thrones fans and anyone seeking great value in Europe. A villa is the best way to enjoy this unspoilt country with the family.

Oliver’s Travels says

Croatia is rapidly emerging as one of the Med’s most sought-after destinations. Not only does it have an exquisite coastline and crystal-clear Adriatic waters dotted with intriguing islands, but it’s also home to rolling green hills, ancient medieval and Venetian cityscapes, impressive Roman ruins and outstanding hospitality.

  • fascinating destination
  • private pools
  • waterfront villas

We have hand-picked a collection of luxury coastal and countryside villas, many of them with a private pool, which are increasingly popular with families.

For the ultimate in contemporary style, Villa Slatine is a super-sleek five-bedroom stunner on the island of Ciovo, just a 25 minute drive from Split Airport. Its waterfront position is as impressive as the designer interiors.

If you’re travelling with younger children, we offer some villas with a fenced pool such as the three-bedroomed Villa Ivona.

We have a number of villas located on the coast. One of our favourites is the five-bedroom Villa Natulia which has private ladder access to the sea as well as its own swimming pool. It’s split in to two apartments internally so works well for two families or three generations travelling together.

Up the ante with a stay in fashionable Hvar, a favourite with celebs. Villa Pharia has a prime waterfront position and gloriously light and airy interiors. It’s hard to beat, particularly if you’re travelling with older children.

Families who enjoy cycling and hiking should head to dreamy Sipan Island and stay at Villa Frajga, surrounded by olive, fig and citrus groves.

Villa Basca has a light and airy interior with spectacular views of the Makarska Riviera and a village in easy walking distance. The pool even has a massage feature!

Villa Pompon is a charming family home with five bedrooms – as well as a generous-sized pool, there’s a children’s playground in the garden.

Close to Dubrovnik, Villa Toni is a characterful, more traditional house with furnished terraces boasting fabulous views.
