Cottages in Norfolk

Our verdict:

Norfolk is one of Britain’s special places. There are the wide, walking beaches and salt marshes of the north coast and the tranquil beauty of the Broads. The big skies are something to be seen. Its history is fascinating too – Norwich was the second most important city in England until the Industrial Revolution. A cottage – perhaps a traditional flint farm building – provides the perfect holiday base.

Kett Country Cottages says

The charming county of Norfolk has long been one of the UK’s most popular family holiday destinations – there’s the glorious coastline with sandy beaches and picture-perfect dunes, the Norfolk Broads and beautiful countryside.

We have specialised in letting quality holiday homes throughout Norfolk for more than 15 years with a wide range of over 200 properties sleeping from two up to 20 guests. Choose from traditional cottages, farmhouses, lodges, barn conversions and apartments with waterside views.

On Norfolk’s coast, some of our cottages have sea views – check out Flagstaff Boathouse which is located right on the creek in the pretty village of Burnham Overy Staithe. Other popular coastal hotspots include Blakeney, Cromer and Wells-next-the-Sea.

Head to the glorious countryside to discover chocolate-box villages and rolling green fields. You can even stay in a coach house on the Sandringham Estate.

Explore the meandering Norfolk Broads from the comfort of your own holiday home. Some are located bang on the waterfront – Eastcote is a traditional Norfolk cottage on the banks of the River Thurne at Potter Heigham and sleeps up to seven. You can rent a boat nearby whenever you fancy a day on the water.

More than half of our cottages are dog-friendly so your four-legged family member can come too. Windmill Cottage, for example, is a two-bedroom barn conversion set in an attractive holiday village complex with a cafe and games room on site.

For something really special, check out our luxury cottages such as The Mews House in Smallburgh. It sleeps up to eight and even has its own indoor swimming pool, tennis court and hot tub.
