Cotswolds cottages

Our verdict:

For a family weekend break, or longer, you can’t beat the Cotswolds. With its honey-hued cottages, chocolate-box villages, surprisingly excellent restaurants and endless countryside walks and bike rides right on your doorstep, it’s a picturesque part of the world that my family and I are always excited about revisiting.

Holidays in the Cotswolds says

You won’t be surprised to read that we specialise in holidays in one of the UK’s most beautiful regions – The Cotswolds.

  • characterful cottages
  • lakefront houses
  • family activities

It’s ideal for families – not only is it easy to reach from most regions of the UK, it also boasts some top family attractions such as the Cotswold Farm Park, Birdland, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Cotswold Water Park.

From traditional Cotswold stone and thatched cottages to big and beautiful country houses with up to eight bedrooms, we have more than 200 properties, all of them perfect for a family holiday. All are set in stunning Cotswold villages with nearby walks, shops and places to eat.

Here are a few examples to whet your appetite.

The Old Cottage is a charming Grade II listed cottage in the pretty village of Swerford, close to Chipping Norton. It has three bedrooms, two log burners, underfloor heating, a light and spacious interior and a walled garden with barbecue.

For something more contemporary, with a lakefront location, check out The Summer Lake Retreat. Set within the Cotswold Water Park, it couldn’t be better placed for active families with boating, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, water skiing, fishing, cycling, walking, golf and horse riding on the doorstep. With four bedrooms too, it’s ideal for two families or a multi-generational holiday. Discover other lake-front holiday homes.

Dolly Mixture Cottage is as quaint as it sounds. It’s ideal for families with younger children with two bedrooms and fabulous countryside views. Set within the owner’s 35 acres of land, you’re bound to meet local resident – former Horse of the Year Show winner, Nibeley Bertie Bassett.

Many of our cottages are dog-friendly and, for something really special, we have curated a selection of luxury houses.
