Mark and David's verdict
The sheer size of South America can make it daunting, but Colombia is a pocket-sized version of the whole continent, with Andean mountains, rainforest, jungle, beaches and colonial treasures. Now with a reputation for being as safe as it is friendly, Colombia is perfect for an action-packed tour.

Tucan Travel says

It’s hard to believe that there’s one country that boasts snow-capped Andean mountains, coffee plantations, colourful colonial cities, ancient artefacts, Caribbean beaches, lush rainforest, nature reserves and Amazonian jungle.

  • Great value destination
  • Group and private tours
  • Year-round destination

That country is Colombia, one of the most compelling, beautiful and friendly countries in Latin America.

It’s one of our fastest-growing destinations and we have created some really inspiring holidays – both small group tours and tailor-made private tours.

Our first group tour was operated from Colombia down to Peru in 1987 and our team travels extensively in Colombia so that we can to give you first hand advice to help you choose the right itinerary for you.

Our group tours are modular – the longest is 20 days and the shortest is 8 days with a wide range of itineraries. Using local transport to get around and staying in locally-owned accommodation, they offer an authentic experience and outstanding value.

Our most popular small group tour is the 14-night Classic Colombia. It’s a comprehensive and exhilarating itinerary taking in statues dating back to 3,300 BC, the birthplace of Gabriel García Márquez, a coffee ranch, canyons and gorges and the cities of Bogota and Cartagena.

Take an even more in-depth adventure on our Colombia Encompassed 20-day group tour or, for a taste of the country, Colombia Express is a fantastic 8-day introduction.

If you would prefer a private tour, we can tailor-make any itinerary to suit any particular interests, budget and available time.

Our 14-night Highlights of Colombia itinerary is a popular choice. Travelling from Cartagena to Bogotá, via Medellín, you will experience diverse attractions and activities including the incredible Gold Museum in Bogota, the underground Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, coffee plantations, a butterfly farm, remote Andean villages and the gorgeous Tayrona National Park.

Alternatively, if time is short, Fast Track Colombia is a nine-day option, again from Cartagena to Bogotá via Medellin but without the Tayrona National Park.

Colombia is a year-round destination (the best months for dry, warm weather are December to March) and easily accessible with direct flights from London or via Europe and the USA  – our team will be able to advise you on the best options for you.
