Join a small group of no more than 13 like-minded travellers for this exhilarating two-week camping trip – it takes you from Seattle to San Francisco crossing seven State lines through some of North America’s most astonishing scenery.
Meet up in hip Seattle, where you’ll stay in a comfortable hostel, before heading off to lakeside Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, followed by the crisp mountain air and fascinating landscapes of Glacier National Park in northwest Montana.
Hit the Gold Rush in historic Helena, known as the Queen City of the Rockies and then it’s all about the great outdoors – and it doesn’t get much greater than Yellowstone National Park. See the bubbling geysers (including Old Faithful) and look out for bison before reaching the Grand Teton National Park and the chance to see the resident moose.
A night in Jackson Hole gives you the chance to explore this picturesque town and go hiking, biking or rafting on the Snake River. Take in Idaho Falls, the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Lake Tahoe.
We couldn’t miss out on a night in Yosemite National Park where you’ll see the majestic Redwoods before hitting San Francisco for a final night – and dinner on Fisherman’s Wharf perhaps as you bid farewell.
This trip is for ages 12 years and over so is suitable for families with teenage children.
This trip operates on various dates between June and September. Transport is in a mini-van and you will be accompanied by one of our experienced, friendly and knowledgeable group leaders.
It’s easy on the budget too – this two week camping trip costs from £1,350 per person (excluding flights). Single travellers are welcome – where possible, we will find someone of the same sex to share accommodation (no supplement).
