Turquoise Holidays says
Hawaii is the world’s original romantic destination – think swaying palm trees, turquoise waters and soft golden beaches.
There is a choice of islands to visit but of the main six, we think that Kaua’i is the most scenic. It is home to over 120 waterfalls, a dramatic coastline, and lush jungle interiors – no surprise that it’s a favourite movie backdrop.
The Kaua’i tourism board calls this magical isle “Hawaii’s Island of Discovery” and we couldn’t agree more. It’s perfect for adventurers and romantics alike.
Explore the Waimea Canyon (also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific), chill out on Po’ipu Beach Park for stunning white sand beaches, and visit Fern Grotto, a natural lava rock formation.
One of our favourite hotels is the St Regis Princeville, located in the north. This property has stunning views from its position high on a remote green bluff close to verdant rainforest.
Many of the beaches in Princeville are located at the bottom of cliffs – whilst it might involve a bit of a trek, it means they are blissfully uncrowded.
On the south coast sits the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. This elegant resort features a championship golf course (as does St Regis), impeccable service and a striking pool area. It is located very close to Po’ipu beach where the Hawaiian Green Sea turtles swim and Hawaiian Monk Seals frolic on the beach.
Hawaii is great for island-hopping – team up Kaua’i with Maui, The Big Island and a short time on Oahu too.
A two-week luxury holiday around the Hawaiian Islands starts from £2,500 per person, including hotel accommodation and all flights.
