Recommended tour operator: Journey Latin America
Journey Latin America says
Condor is one of our most popular and in-depth escorted group tours of Peru, together with some time in Bolivia.
In three weeks, you’ll experience Lima, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca and the floating Uros Islands, La Paz, Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, take a train to Machu Picchu itself and stay at a jungle lodge in Peru’s Amazon basin.
This is one of our Discovery Journeys, typified by a more adventurous style of travel – a mixture of public and private transport plus time off-the-beaten track as well as seeing the must-see sights.
Around 40% of our group tour passengers are single. We will twin you up with another same sex member of the group. If we can’t find someone to twin up, you will have a single room with no supplement. You can also opt for a single room for a supplement which varies from tour to tour.
All our tours are accompanied by one of our expert tour leaders, all of whom speak fluent Spanish as well as English. You’ll feel as if he or she is a friend, sharing local insights, hidden gems and insider tips whilst making sure everything runs smoothly.
Each group has a maximum of 16 people, big enough to mix with plenty of people but not too big to feel overwhelmed. The typical age range is 35 – 65 years, with people, mostly Brits, from all walks of life who share a passion for travel.
We ensure there’s a good mix of sightseeing and activities plus free time for you to pursue your own interests or simply chill out. The tour leader is always on hand to recommend and sort out any additional excursions or activities.
From May 2016, you can fly direct with British Airways who are introducing three flights a week from Gatwick to Lima.
