Caribbean sailing

David & Mark's verdict

The dense seascape of lush green islands in the British Virgin Islands offers some of the best, and certainly the easiest, sailing in the Caribbean. These are the nursery slopes of yachting, with an amazing variety of anchorages just a short hop apart. Join a flotilla, take a bareboat charter or sail with a skipper.

Sunsail says

With picture-perfect beaches, crystal-clear waters and an abundance of hidden treasures waiting to be explored, sailing in the West Indies is simply spectacular. Enjoy an exciting mix of blue water blasts and line-of-sight sailing. Discover the deserted palm-fringed bays and welcoming warm waters that make this a paradise for sailors and non-sailors alike.

We have seven bases for bareboat yacht charters and flotilla sailing in the Caribbean, in the British Virgin Islands, St Vincent (for the Grenadines), Martinique, Club Colonna in Antigua, Guadeloupe and St Martin – together with a brand new base in the Bahamas that adds another 100 miles of cruising waters to our already impressive sailing grounds.

Sunsail has 35 years of experience of organising sailing holidays and almost 1,000 yachts in 39 locations across the globe, in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mediterranean, UK, Far East and the “exotics”.

Along with our yacht charter holidays, we also have five beach clubs providing family holidays, plus flotilla holidays for group sailing experiences, sailing schools, team building, corporate events and yacht ownership opportunities.
