Here at 101 Holidays, we are building a unique collection of hotel recommendations from leading travel writers on Twitter. Each contributor reveals a personal favourite place where they would pay to stay. The price of a double room must be no more than £150 ($250).

Today’s tip comes from Sarah Turner, a travel writer for The Times, the Daily Mail and The Guardian.

Sarah recommends: “Kamalaya on Koh Samui. A serene yet convivial, non-judgemental spa for the 21st Century. Notably good food and (biodynamic) wine.” Doubles cost from £132.
