Take a walk on the wild side

Breaks including a ‘monsters of the dark’ night walk with Nick Baker from the BBC’s Really Wild Show, a primitive weaponry weekend for teenage lads and foraging for Cornwall’s seashore edibles by kayak have caught our eye this week.

They’re part of an inspiring new selection of courses for all ages from Wildwise, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Based on Dartmoor, Wildwise is run by highly experienced environmental educationalists who deliver an exciting and diverse year-round programme of courses, camps and events for adults, children and families to inspire and inform about the natural world.

Other ideas for this year include a course in bird language, a Dartmoor walkabout with packhorses, an introduction to animal tracking and a blacksmithing craft camp.
