Families are catching on and, already, The Gambia Experience has laid on additional flights between Gatwick and Banjul on 22 and 29 October to meet demand for October half term.
A week for a family of 2 adults and 2 children at the Kombo Beach would cost £2,996 in two rooms or £3,046 in a one-bedroom suite on a B&B basis. A week all-inclusive at the 5* Sheraton Gambia Hotel costs £3,860 in two rooms. Prices also include flights and transfers.
Both hotels are well geared up for children with separate children’s pools, activities and great sand beaches.
The Gambia Experience offers year-round twice-weekly flights from Gatwick and winter departures from Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, and new from December, Stansted.
