We set up Bushbaby Travel after travelling through South Africa and Mauritius then having children of our own. We couldn’t find a company that offered what we wanted – a well-researched, exciting, comfortable and interesting experience of Africa for the whole family, with great back-up if needed.
Our Bush and Beach Adventure is geared towards families who want to combine the excitement of a ‘Big Five’ safari with indulgent relaxation on a tropical beach in the Indian Ocean. It’s a wonderful combination whether you are travelling with young children or teenagers.
After an overnight flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, you will be transferred to the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Here you will be welcomed at Jaci’s Safari Lodge or Tree Lodge, staying in a semi-tented suite with outdoor shower for your three-night fully inclusive safari experience.
Game drives at dawn and dusk in open Land Rovers will take you in search of animals including lion, elephant and the rare wild dog whilst mini-beasts and birds will not be forgotten!
On your last morning you will be transferred back to the airport in time for your afternoon flight to Mauritius. Here you will spend the next week enjoying the facilities of The Residence Mauritius, your luxurious oceanfront retreat.
