Easy to reach, great value for money and packed with things to do, this has got to be one of Europe’s most appealing family holiday parks. One look at the insane tangle of waterslides at the adjacent Tiki Water Park will convince most kids, but there’s also a sandy beach and cycling paths. Throw in a daytrip to Amsterdam for a sure-fire winner.

Camping Duinrell is a popular choice for families with children of all ages from toddlers to teenagers.
Ideal for a self-drive holiday, the park is located less than 24 miles from Rotterdam, 30 miles from the Hook of Holland and the nearby town of Wassenaar is within walking distance.
The campsite boasts a range of facilities and activities but the Tiki Water Park and Duinrell Theme Park are the main attractions.
The water park has 11 slides, wave machines, a lazy river and a pool with its own mini-slides exclusively for young children.
The theme park is packed with rides for all ages – new for 2012 is the impressive Dragon Fly rollercoaster, a white knuckle ride through the trees. Other attractions for the little ones include a mini train, an indoor playground and Rick’s Adventure Castle.
On site, there is a buffet restaurant, a Creperie and takeaway as well as an Irish-themed bar. Wassenaar is a short walk away with a choice of shops, bars and restaurants.
Accommodation at the park is in either a tent or a two- or three-bedroom mobile home. Each is fully-equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday.
Holland is famously flat but it has enormous character and charm with windmills, bulb fields and acres of woodland covering the country. The Dutch are well known for their love of cycling so you’ll find many miles of dedicated cycle paths.
The capital Amsterdam is just an hour’s drive away and is home to countless galleries, museums, the famous canals and other places of interest for all ages.
