The Loire valley lends itself perfectly to family cycling holidays. The gradients are undemanding, there are miles of peaceful lanes connecting dozing, pretty villages, historic chateaux, chunks of history and fun attractions.
It’s also quite compact, so distances needn’t be too great if you don’t want them to be.
We find that children love cycling holidays as they are so occupied with what they are doing, seeing and hearing.
On this holiday they get to explore roman ruins, troglodyte houses, sandy river beaches, castle ruins and Leonardo da Vinci’s house.
If that isn’t enough, they’ll love the zoo-parc and also Fantasy Forest where they can try tree-top monkey trails, caving, aerial runways, bouncy castles, devilkarts and more.
Mum and Dad will enjoy plenty of delicious French cuisine, with five of the six nights on a half board basis, with plenty of child-friendly choices available if the smaller people are not quite up to frogs legs yet!
