The newly refurbished four-star-plus Hotel Lafodia, on the traffic-free island of Lopud off the Dubrovnik coast, has a children’s club, interconnecting rooms and family rooms, all with sea view. A sandy beach can be found close by as well. With half board, it is ideal for a family holiday.
For those who prefer self-catering, Villa Ana offers 12 one and two bedroom sea-view apartments and a shared pool. Explore the local area, including the medieval town of Trogir, by local bus or water taxi.

With one of the best kids clubs we’ve seen and plenty of little bars and restaurants in the town, it’s a great way to sample the very best of Croatia.
