Feather Down Farms says
Our holidays represent a unique way for families to relax and spend time together in some of Britain’s most beautiful countryside.
Found across England, Wales and Ireland, the farms in our fold all have different specialties, so each is a completely different experience from the next.
All Feather Down Farms have a Farm Larder stocked with grown-on-your-doorstep supplies, and spacious tents as characterful, comfortable and cosy as any home from home you could find under canvas.
There’s no electricity in our tents, which all feature a sink, a wood-fired stove for cooking and heating, access to a wood-fired pizza oven, and indoor and outdoor dining tables for candlelit family feasts.
To accommodate up to six people comfortably, sleeping quarters are comprised of two bedrooms and a ‘cupboard bed’, and there’s a flushing loo in every tent, with decent hot water showers nearby.
Daytime activities might include collecting eggs, taking a Farm Tour, walking a nature trail, exploring by bike, or simply getting to know the animals in the paddock.
New for 2012 are our first ever farms in the Cotswolds and Exmoor; and our ‘Retreat with Treats‘ in the Malverns, where we have thrown in loads of extra goodies to make your stay an extra pampered one.
We are really pleased that over 90 percent of our guests rated us as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ for the second year in a row.
If you fancy the idea of ‘grown-up’ camping in a luxurious safari tent in the grounds of a magnificent country pile, check out our sister company, Country House Hideout.
