A house in Devon bought and renovated by Kirstie Allsopp, presenter of Channel 4’s property show, Location, Location, Location, is available to rent from £2,000 per week.
The cottage, Meadowgate, sleeps 12 and is surrounded by meadows and woods in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is half a mile from Welcombe Mouth beach, near Bude, and is said to be totally secluded.
Kirstie bought the house as a derelict shell and transformed it on a tight budget, in the process learning traditional skills such as glass-blowing, quilting and wallpaper making. The house features in a new Channel 4 series, Kirstie’s Homemade Home.
The Meadowgate is available for rent through Helpful Holidays. Last time we looked, availability was excellent.
