By Mark Hodson and David Wickers, editors of 101 Holidays
We’re very excited about the latest addition to 101 Holidays - a magnificent gulet cruise in Turkey.
We’re both huge fans of the Turkish Aegean coastline and believe that sailing in a fully-crewed traditional gulet is the perfect way to get away from the crowds and really enjoy the magnificent scenery. On a gulet you can explore secret coves, find stretches of coastline inaccessible from the land and go swimming and snorkelling in beautiful clear seas.
At night the gulet experience really comes into its own as you enjoy dinner on deck then gaze up into a starry night sky.
We’re pleased to recommend Exclusive Escapes as the best tour operator for gulet holidays. The company is a true Turkey specialist and also offers some great boutique hotels on this coast. If you can’t decide between land and sea, you can always combine the two.
