Today’s hotel tip is from David Powell, travel and features editor at the Kent Advertiser Group. David is the latest of more than 50 travel writers who have contributed personal hotel recommendations to 101 Holidays.

Today’s hotel tip comes from Angela Corrias, an Italian journalist who writes about travel and politics. Angela is the latest of more than 50 travel writers who have contributed personal hotel recommendations to 101 Holidays.

The rules are simple: each hotel must charge no more than £150 ($250) a night for a double room. And - in the spirit of Twitter - each recommendation must be no more than 140 characters in length.

Angela recommends: “Hotel Foz do Iguaçu in Southern Brazil, close to the wonderful Iguaçu waterfalls: exquisitely friendly staff, huge and diverse breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms.” Weekend rates for a double room start at around £125.
