On Capri, the Caesar Augustus is a Relais & Chateaux gem with just 55 rooms and spectacular terraces whilst the Hotel Luna enjoys a striking position in Capri Town and offers comfortable four star accommodation.
Positano is perhaps the most charming of the Amalfi resorts, not least as coaches are banned. We love the ambiance of the Hotel Le Sirenuse and the family-run Hotel Poseidon.
Escapists should head for Ischia’s Mezzatorre Resort and Spa, a luxurious but low-key hotel built around a 16th century watchtower.
